For R&C Indexing, I have been a professional indexer
since 2002. As a member of the American Society for
Indexing, I've served on the nominating committe,
bylaws committe, and in the offices of treasurer, vice
president, and president for its five-state Heartland
Chapter. I'll be presenting a program at the 2011 ASI

For dental audiences, I present programs on pediatric
management, pediatric nutrition, pre-natal to pre-school
care, and effective communication with children. . In
addition, I’ve spoken informally to small groups on a variety
of topics including writing, indexing, newspaper work, and
motorcycling.

Writer
Since working as wire editor and feature writer at a
small daily newspaper, and doing freelance features
for a daily metropolitan paper, I’ve become a fast and
efficient writer. I’ve published thousands of
newspaper articles, more than 100 magazine articles,
several short stories, and one young adult novel. I'm
a member of Writers Anonymous.

Dental Hygienist
With 30 years' experience in general dentistry, three
years' experience as a temp hygienist, and seven years'
experience in pediatric dentistry, I have a wide view of
office practices and philosophies. I'm a member of the
American Dental Hygienists Association and the
Tri-County Ohio Dental Hygienists Association. I
participate in the Hu-Friedy Thought Leader Program, the
RDH Key Influencer Program, the Editorial Board of RDH
Magazine, the GC America Key Opinion Leader program,
the Colgate Oral Health Advisor Program, and was a
charter member of the Allied Advisory Committee of the
Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry. I'm an
active supporter of the National Children's Oral Health
Foundation, and serve on the Oral Cancer Awareness
Committee of Amy's List.
