management, pediatric nutrition, pre-natal to pre-
school care, and effective communication with children.
For indexing audiences, I have a program on
ergonomics.
I’ve spoken informally to small groups on a variety of
topics including writing, indexing, newspaper work, and
motorcycling.

Writer
Since working as wire editor and feature writer at a
small daily newspaper, and doing freelance features
for a daily metropolitan paper, I’ve become a fast and
efficient writer. I’ve published thousands of
newspaper articles, more than 100 magazine
articles, more than a dozen short stories, and one
young adult novel. I'm a member of Writers
Anonymous.

With 30 years' experience in general dentistry, three
years' experience as a temp hygienist, and seven years'
experience in pediatric dentistry, I have a wide view of
office practices and philosophies. I'm a member of the
American Dental Hygienists Association and Ohio's
Tri-County Dental Hygienists Association. I participate in
the Hu-Friedy Thought Leader Program, the RDH Key
Influencer Program, the Editorial Board of RDH
Magazine, the GC America Key Opinion Leader
program, the Colgate Oral Health Advisor Program, and
was a charter member of the Allied Advisory Committee
of the Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry.
I'm an active supporter of the National Children's Oral
Health Foundation, and serve on the Oral Cancer
Awareness Committee of Amy's List.
