Andrea Adkins, RDH
I am very happily employed 13 hours a week in
the office of pediatric dentist Jay Reznik, DMD,
MS., in Monaca, Pa. These photos are used
with his permission.
This is the lion mural before it was
finished. The x-ray room is to the left,
game room to the right.
Above the game room doorway on the
left are the lion cubs. A leopard is to
their right, above the toothbrushing
room doorway. Bear cubs in birch
trees are on the far right.
Mama and baby giraffe in the
toothbrushing room can be seen all
the way from the front door.
Most people say the dolphins are their
favorites.
The parrots hide in the x-ray room. To
their left is the finished lion mural,
where most of the kids like to pose for
their new-patient photo.
I'm trying to hug the gorilla on the
primate wall. On either side of me are
the two hygiene chairs.
This part of the ceiling is above the
hygiene chairs. We have most of the
area high school logos up here.
"Who's the guy with the chimney
head?" kids always ask. He's Potter
Pete, the mascot of my alma mater,
East Liverpool High School. That
chimney is a brick pottery kiln,
honoring the city's history as a pottery
center.
